Sandie was my voice teacher while I was in high-school, preparing for voice program auditions at Universities such as U of T, McGill, Western, and Guelph. As a U of T grad herself, Sandie's deep knowledge of the schools' requirements, learning environment, and intel were a huge help when it came to my success in those auditions, as well as my final decision. I truly don't think that I could have navigated that time in my life without Sandie's guidance. Sandie has an incredible wealth of knowledge and experience in both opera and musical theatre that I was lucky enough to absorb from our lessons, meaning that I was very well prepared by the time I entered University. Sandie was endlessly encouraging, and inspired me to break out of my shell and open up both personally and vocally - the most important tool that I took with me into my education and career. I always looked forward to our lessons which were a real highlight of my week because of the fun that we had, and our shared love of classical music and opera. Based on the years that I spent as one of her students, I know that Sandie has made a huge difference in so may young singers' lives as they go to to explore their musical talents, and I am incredibly grateful to her for all of her kindness, support, and wisdom."
Sandie was perfect teacher to introduce Ronin to singing and the technique. She had a lot of faith in him and through that he was able to sing in front of others for the first time. Ronin continues to sing and perform thanks to the great start he had with Sandie.
Sandie is an incredible vocal teacher. Not only does she have a wealth of professional expertise that she brings to the table but she also creates a safe and encouraging space to learn and grow. I have trained with multiple coaches but she is truly a gem. I would highly recommend her to anyone considering vocal coaching.
Sandie has helped me grow so much as a musician, singer, and performer. She has taught me various styles of singing that have given me the versatility I need to pursue a career in musical theatre. I am so much more confident in my voice and in myself since taking lessons with her! I highly recommend her to anyone looking for singing lessons.
Sandie was always so supportive, friendly, helpful and her professionalism gave me so much guidance. Through her teaching, she helped me develop a confidence that allowed me to participate confidently in musical theatre but has stuck with me throughout my university years. Through her teaching, I had the opportunity to go to provincials for voice, which was an experience all in it's self, but I also would have never been able to get there without her constant support. All in all, she gave me a passion and appreciation for voice, and it is something that I will hold with me forever.
Sandie is a great teacher and coach. She guided me with my audition repertoire when I was auditioning for vocal performance back in 2021. Once I was accepted into a masters program in the US, she also prepped me with individual one on one IPA diction coaching. Sandie is a very knowledgeable teacher. One thing that I particularly loved about working with her was that she had a great overall picture of technique, diction, and performance artistry. She really went out of her way to make sure that I understood certain concepts and also talked me through a lot of things even in our lessons. She was able to play the piano for a lot of my pieces which is also a bonus. As a lighter soprano, it was great to have someone who really understood the repertoire I sand. I have no doubt that because of her fantastic technical knowledge that she would be an excellent teacher for someone who wants to branch out and sing musical theatre repertoire and other genres.
